REPLICA MEDIEVAL INLAID TILES
&
ARCHITECTURAL TERRACOTTAS

Diana Hall established a hand-printed ceramic tile business with Peggy Angus in 1979. Her interest in conservation (culminating in a B.Sc.) has led her to diversify into making replica medieval and Victorian inlaid tiles for various places from houses to cathedrals.

Her conservation work has included replica inlaid tiles for the Retrochoir Pavement at Winchester Cathedral
(As shown in border), Prior Craudens Chapel at Ely Cathedral and the Court House at Martock, a new floor for Much Wenlock Priory and Victorian Encaustic Tiles for the Law Courts at the Alclwych. Another recent challenging project was the re-making of some 19thC Architectural Terracottas for St Stephens & All Martyrs, Leverbridge, Bolton (As shown below).

Commissions are taken for designing and producing both wall and floor tiles using Traditional Techniques also for Condition Reports as well as the cleaning and monitoring of ecclesiastical tiled floor pavements.
